Lyor Cohen, who was formally CEO of Warner Music Group and also President of Def Jam, has been newly appointed Global Head of Music for Youtube. With Cohen joining, the company hopes to restore relations with artist and record labels who find Youtube's services a fringe on royalties and prone to piracy. Lyor will continue his role as CEO of 300 Entertainment until Dec. 5 but will then fully take on his new title.
