Julie Dash will be directing an upcoming biopic about Rosa Parks. This film will be about her activist work prior to the Montgomery bus boycott, and will be based on the book At the Dark End of the Street by Danielle McGuire. Julie Dash previously directed The Rosa Parks Story for CBS in 2002, which starred Angela Bassett. This new biopic is set to start production next year and you can read more about it here.
