J. Dilla Album On The Way

That's right, there is a brand new J. Dilla album coming June 2nd by way of Nature Sounds. It will be a fully instrumental release put together by Pete Rock and Ma Dukes, so there is no question that it is legit.“This album combines what he did in the beginning of his career, what he did in some of our early hospital stays, which was very deep, and some stuff pulled from old floppy disks & DATs. Its mind blowing…this is like the missing links to Dilla’s legacy.” Ma Dukes said.
Pete Rock has chosen the 'Radio programme director' theme for the album. He played a key role in keeping the legacy that was J. Dilla from tarnishing during the process of creating the album.
“Dude was amazing. He just kinda came outta nowhere and the more you heard his beats the better they got. He may not be here with us, but it’s all good we’re going to keep his music alive and well.” Pete Rock Said.
I can't help but be excited for this, but one must also wonder when the Dilla vaults will close for good, Rest In Peace J. Dilla.
