The Federal Aviation Administration will be allowing the use of electronic devices on airplanes during flight very soon. The New York Times reports that FAA administrator Michael P. Huerta states that MP3s, tablets, smartphones, and more when put into 'airplane mode' can be able to be used during takeoff and landing. Although individual companies will be able to set their own guidelines, this is pretty awesome and was definitely inevitable with the advances of technology in recent years. Expect these new rules to go into effect before the end of the year. Take a look at more information on the changes here.
