In its first fashion-focused show since 1944, the Museum of Modern Art has curated an exhibit called 'Items: Is Fashion Modern?' in New York City. This exhibit has a section honoring the influence of sports on fashion, and as part of it, they have included Colin Kaepernick's old 49ers jersey. The jersey was included to highlight Kaepernick's choice to use his platform to make a political statement, which contributed to his jersey being the top-selling in the NFL.
