In The NFL: Week 5
Late again this week. I made the picks Wednesday, so it's not like I'm coming in here with some bunk picks. I'm 44-18 on the year. This week is dry as hell as far as contender V. Contender matches, but oh well. Let's go!
Falcons at San Francisco: The 49ers have been playing well and winning with a solid defense. The Falcons appear to be playing better all around football, however. Their defense has looked questionable at times, but their promising offense has bridged the gap. The 49ers without Gore will have a tough time staying in it if their defense doesn’t match up with Atlanta’s offense. The Falcons will win this by 10.
Patriots at Denver: Last week the Broncos proved that they’re more than just benefiting from a weak early schedule. This week they need to prove that they are a true contender. The Broncos will stay in this game, but the Patriots are further along as a team and will inevitably get the win.
Jets at Miami: The Dolphins had a strong showing last week against the Bills while the Jets lost against a much stronger team in the Saints. This match might not seem worthy of the Monday Night Lights, but rivalries usually make for intriguing games. Chad Henne will be running around all over the field all season long, but this could possibly be his worst game of the season; the Jets hold all of the cards on defense and that will be the reason that they go away with the win.
The rest of this week’s picks:
Bengals at Baltimore
Browns at Buffalo
Panthers at Washington
Steelers at Detroit
Cowboys at Kansas City
Raiders at New York
Buccaneers at Philadelphia
Vikings at St. Louis
Texans at Arizona
Jaguars at Seattle
Colts at Tennessee
